According to the report aired, the governor wants to MANDATE a sales tax increaes of 1%, but ASK state agencies to reduce spending. Tax payers always have to pay for mis-management of funds. No sales tax increase, no matter what. Governments never have enough money to spend, in their opinion. A detailed disclosure of how much is spent on different budget items would greatly anger the overwhelming majority of citizens.
