McCain's VP Pick

We asked your opinions on Senator John McCain's choice of Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.

She's no Hillary and like McCain she is more of the same.  --  Jason, Caliremont

This is a great choice and would even be able to serve as president if it should be necessary. What a breath of fresh air she is!  --  Jeanie, El Cajon

All I can say is that the Democrats have been "out-strategerized"   --  Roberta, Fallbrook

It is a great pick. She has more experience than Obama, who has no experience except as a community organizer and one year in the senate and has been running for President ever since. Ha.  --  James, Bankers Hill

If McCain should pass away while in office I would not want Gov. Palin to be the president in his place. She is not presidential material. If he was thinking this will get him the women's vote I think he's wrong. I will be voting for Obama, which I had already planned to do.  --  Judy, San Diego

Raised as a Democrate I am a 44 yr old married latin man and I will now be voting for McCain Because I believe Sarah Palin is the change I have been waiting for to clean-up Washington and the corruption that exists through out both parties.  --  Ted, El Cajon

AWESOME!!! Smart, savvy leader from Alaska. Has done good work up there. Has run businesses. Conservative family person and a woman to boot. What a great and smart choice.  --  Sam, Descanso

His choice is a clear indication his campaign is in despair and COMPLETELY out of touch with reality. Just because she is a woman does not mean she supports the women's issues. Quite the contrary. She is the OPPOSITE of just about everything the "Hillary" people supported. How naive does McCain really think women are?  --  Jimmy, UTC

Sarah Palin is a fantastic choice as the running mate for John McCain! They will do a much better job of taking change to Washington than the Democrats. We need elected officials to serve by doing what is right for the American People! May God bless America.  --  ***, Escondido

I already supported McCain. His selection of Palin adds excitement to the race for me. She is well-rounded, economically savvy, a friend to the environment and tough where it counts. She is America's Everywoman. I do not see this as a gimmick. Her beliefs match her running mate's and that is how it should be. Certainly she has more experience - and more real successes on record - to be vice president than Obama has to be president. Palin will rock the vote for Republicans this election.  --  Karen, Bay Park

Who in the blue hell is Sarah Palin? she's an absolutely a nobody in national politics, and is nothing but a repubilcan Hillary Clinton-Wannabe.  --  Alberto, San Ysidro

Gov. Sara Palin is the opposite of what this country needs, she also doesn't know what women want or how to help McCain build this country back on top.  --  Carlos, Bakersfield

It makes me sick to see so many of these comments in favor of Palin and McCain. Your opinions have been derived from the RNC and following McCain ad campaign and NOT real facts. It proves that our educational system is in serious jeapordy when your opinions for president and vice president is from what you see on TV and when you take that for truth!

Palin was part of an independent party that supported Alaska's succession from the United States. She is part of a church that speaks in tongues. She likes to SHOOT MOOSE from helicopters...where is the sport in that? She has NO foreign policy experience and in 2007 got her first passport. Claiming to have gone to Canada and Mexico and then being able to look across the straight to RUSSIA hardly qualifies this as foreign experience let alone a "world traveler". McCain met her ONCE before the announcement of the choice showing that the Republican party was throwing a hail mary pass trying to counter balance the Obama momentum. It's a political move not an intellectual "we are doing what is right for America" move. There isn't anything pertinent about her past or her experience that tells us anything about her. She is scary, they are both Republican puppets and we will be WORSE off with them than we are with Bush. -- Jim, Fullerton
