Are the stars of 90210 too thin?
I believe that television stars have really become WAY TOO thin these days! Its like being anornexic is the only form of beauty. Which is so unrealistic! -- Lorraine, Pacific Beach
Yes.I believe that body image is all over tv today and the pressure to look "good" is everywhere. I think that we focus too much on the skinny girls of Hollywood and we must realize that bulimia and anorexia is not prejudice when it come to guys or girls. As a 22 year old man who has struggled with both diseases.seeking help is the most important thing. -- John, Mission Valley
I think it bothers me more that you use the idea of actors being too thin, to cover a thinly veiled promotion of one of your own new shows, which you are trying to establish viewers for. Actors have been far too thin for some time. Would you have run this story if it were not tied to your own new (in your own words) "hit show"? Of course, I don't expect you to show this on air...but the point is still valid, and it speaks to your credibility as a news program. I know all news programs promote shows on their own networks, but don't insult our intelligence by pretending it's an actual news story. -- Christopher, Santee
I'm 16 years old, and I don't think that thin people on the television would have such an effect on people if they were better grounded and understood that there are drugs, extreme diets, and airbrushes involved in advertising and television. At the same time though, there is only so much people can do about bringing awareness to girls about eating disorders and too-thin bodies. Ultimately, it's on us people to decide what is real and attainable, and what is false/fatal perfection. -- Amada, Chula Vista
if they are anorexic its because girls have presure into looking thin and into stress because the media makes fat or chubby look bad or look discusting.... and when they do deside to losse weight they talk about how they are anorexic or bulimic... just leave them alone if they lost weight then good and if they dont then its also good... make life easier and stop making thin look like it the new fashion. -- Norma, San Diego
