Chargers' Marketing

We asked what you thought of the Charger's new marketing plan in L.A.

The best idea would be to build a stadium at Viejas. They're the only ones not going broke around here. After a couple of years maybe they can buy the team and get rid of AJ and the Spanos' once and for all! -- Jim

I would be more than happy to help them pack. -- Ernie

It doesn't matter the Chargers are turning into the Padres by letting all their stars go, ie. LT, Merriman, Hoffman, Greene, and Peavey. I go to Anaheim anyway to see the Angels and Ducks. -- Patrick

I always say this send the the chargers to L.A and Padres to TJ (Mexico) and bring the Cowboys and the Yankees to San Diego. -- Stan

If the Chargers owners are looking for revenue, they need to look elsewhere. Given the negotiations in San Diego, I understand that. However, with the current economic conditions, the Spano's family will not find the revenues that they are seeking. If they do, it will be 50 cents on the dollar, at best. -- Jeff

The days of the Chargers and the Spanos screwing this city are over. Happy trails to you, if you can find some other fools to make a deal with you. -- James

Regarding the Charger's hiring a marketing deal for L.A., I wouldn't read too much into it. The primary motive for this is to sell more tickets and advertising in the 2nd largest media market in the country. They want to become Southern California's team and not just San Diego's. It seems like a smart business move, not a diabolical plot to leave San Diego in the middle of the night to BOLT for Los Angeles. -- Brian

The San Diego Chargers key work [San Diego], should stay in San Diego. They defiantly should not move to L.A because it would be unfortunate when games come by and the fans have to travel all the way to L.A. they are meant to stay in San Diego where they trully belong. Moving will not really solve much, just add more problems for the fans then the sales would go down, and they will not make mmoney. With the economy so bad, I doubt that some people will travel to L.A for the games. -- Marwa

I can't believe this Chargers stadium issue goes on. There is no issue, it is over, done, nada. Chula Vista is not going to build them a stadium, they are broke, everyone is broke, what is it that you people don't understand. There is no deal for the Chargers, they will be where they are at and to think otherwise is stupid wishful thinking. -- James

I lived in LA for 15 years. Not only is there no plan for a stadium, there is 0 effort to get a team. You can't move a team to a city with no stadium. Enough. The Chargers front office has been making noises about moving to LA for 10 years. From the State, to Bank CEOs to the Chargers, everybody is crying doom if they don't get our money. Knock it off already. -- Vince

The Chargers are right to look at other places. San Diego voters have not backed them in getting them a new stadium. Us true charger fans (not bandwagon fans) will be very hurt if they leave. GO Chula Vista! Help us keep our Chargers! -- Claudia

My 1st thought regarding the marketing of the Chargers for the big bucks in LA/Orange county. What good does it do when there is alreay a waiting list for season seat, are there that many club boxes left to make worth the time and money? -- Laurie
