My daughter goes to Aloha Taylor's alma mater HPU a private college and her tuition is less than the UC schools. I agree with the fellow you interviewed, why would students want to attend big schools like UCSD with hundreds of students and large classes when they can pay less at a private college. Hawa'i is not cheap but it actually less expensive than UCSD including all expenses! -- Susanne

raising fees in uc schools is not only wrong-especially during this terribly economic times-it prevents the importance of students to receive what is important to move onto this small world. We are not making enough-don't take away any more than what is needed! -- Kevin
Great, as someone who worked and paid his own way through college I have no sympathy for the students now days. Most of them voted for Obama and now they will have to pay for what they elected. Maybe they will grow up before they vote again. -- James Jolly
