When I first heard that Channel 6 had lost the Fox affiliation, my first thought was that the network bristled at your "Fair and Balanced" news promotion. I find your news to be exactly that and perhaps that's what stuck in the craw of Fox network's decidedly right wing executives.
I'll still be watching!

While the change may loose viewers in the initial switch, the long tradition of serving the San Diego area, should help. Adding and building newscasts is not an easy programming move, however the viewers of XETV should know that the station doesn't rip and read; they use basic journalism skills on local, regional and national stories. Keeping the local station personnel on board and the commitment to local programming should win over those that switch to other stations.

In a sea of television programming, I hope you know that the long road of building XETV should benefit from this move. After all, outside of network programming, it's still San Diego's XETV. Thank you for your time.

I hope you add the new HD version of Star Trek the original series to the lineup as the CW affiliate in LA has.

Yes I would like to know where Christe Russo went??? I miss her very much. Her and Ruben were the ONLY reason that I would watch fox in the morning along with San Diego living. It is not the same without her. Without Christe and Ruben It's just boring and dull news. Those two makeFox worth watching. I would love to see both of them as a news team together. Ruben cracks me up because he is just a nut and Christe is just as funny and cute.

XETV Channel 6 is my favorite english TV Station, where I like to watch the News in the morning, and the news at 10pm. I never liked the 69, even know that switch with FOX. (They call themself ch 5, but we all know they are 69, the last one in the turner, period)

The new CW programming looks nice, especially with the new 90210.
I don't think channel 6 will loose their ratings. Many english viewers from Tijuana and Rosarito like XETV for being the Baja's local english channel. For us in San Diego, will remain as the number 1 in primetime news. For being honest, XETV news team looks much, much, much bretter, than ***'s.

I live in Eugene, OR and on satellite KSWB is our CW station. With the change in affiliation, we'll have our local Fox affiliate KLSR-TV and KSWB-TV providing Fox programming. Does XETV know if they'll be substituted on satellite for CW programming in areas where there is no affiliate (technically Eugene does have an affiliate, KMTR-DT 16.2 but it is only on cable and digital broadcast)?

I personally love some of the shows that the CW has to offer, however I was looking forward to some new seasons in FOX broadcastings such as prison break, house, bones :(.
Does anyone know if the station FOX is moving to is local or cable? :S

Emanuel: KSWB is on Channel 69 on the analog dial. However that will change next year when all over the air TV stations in the USA go digital and stop broadcasting in analog. The picture should be as clear as Directv, Dish Network, or Digital Cable. Also, KSWB is on Channel 5 on cable systems in the San Diego area.

KSWB-DT uses Channel 19 for Digital. 69.1 is the virtual channel for KSWB-DT. PSIP is a technology that allows for digital channels to remain on the analog channel number. KSWB will be on channel 69 or 69.1. Channel 5 is the cable marketing name. It's also the number for U-verse, Cox, and Time Warner Cable. KSWB is on the FCC must carry rules so it's going to be on OTA and Satellite for sure.

The news set will likely stay the same. New graphics will also be on San Diego 6. The empty Fox 6 news logo will likely get replaced with San Diego 6 the CW news. The music on the San Diego 6 promos is from Stephen Arnold's Indie pack.

I have a theory that Fox wanted the football games, along with all their other programming, to be available here in HDTV. Being a Mexico-licensed facility, it is my understanding that HDTV has not been approved.
